Smart Virtual Clinic Application (SVC Application) is a software built for the Bengaluru Smart City Limited (BenSCL) for operationalizing the Smart Virtual Clinics (SVC) at various Primary Healthcare Centres (PHC) of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Bengaluru City. This Smart Virtual Clinic opens the doors for virtual consultation with specialist doctors for the patients visiting these PHCs. SVC Application is meant to serve as a common platform where scheduled Virtual Consultations can be carried out conveniently making it more user-friendly and facilitating an enhanced virtual consult experience.
The system shall provide a very intuitive and simple interface to the users and the administrator, so that the user can easily navigate through the application for signing up, profiling, booking appointments, virtual consultation, patient medical records management, etc.
Patients:
Patients are the primary beneficiaries of this SVC application. They will use the SVC application to register themselves as patients for SVC, book appointments with specialist doctors for consultation, access their medical records from the digital repository of SVC whenever required, etc.
Doctors:
The specialist doctors are the most important users of this SVC application as they are the ones who would conduct the actual specialty consultations for the patients of SVC. They would be the users of the virtual conferencing equipment at the command centre. They would have access to the medical records of the patients. They would also be able to update the doctor’s roaster with any of their non-availabilities.
SVC Clinical Operators:
The SVC Clinical Operators play a vital role as they are involved in almost the complete process of the core functionality of the SVC Application. They are equipped to create patient registration, appointment booking, pre-virtual consultation activities, initiate virtual consultation and are the only users who would be operating the integrated smart medical devices and the virtual conferencing equipment at the SVCs.
Technical Support/Application Support Personnel:
These are the users who would know a complete application and its usage thoroughly and they would also be knowing about the usage of integrated medical devices and other virtual conferencing equipment. They would be helping all users in troubleshooting and providing solutions for the issues faced by the users of the SVC Application.
Operations Manager/Admin:
This will be one single user who would be the admin user for the complete application and he would be able to control the access rights of various users. He would be having complete permission to all the sections of the application. He would be responsible for onboarding the doctors and other SVC staff including the SVC Clinical Operators and Technical Support/Application Support users.
